Smart Comments`

We have been learning to write smart comments on other peoples blogs.A smart comment is writing something positive and thoughtful comment a the post and only the post. We are creating a positive digital foot print when we leave smart comments. We are cyber smart.

My comments are smart because it is positive and  specific, I have introduced myself.  I have made a connection with the writer about the post and added a question at the end of the comment.

Reaching For The Stars

WALT:

write goals to help us measure our learning. Mrs Richardson told us to write goals to track our learning in term 2. These are my goals.

My goal for writing is to use right paragraphing .This is important because people will be interested in my stories and know where to stop when it is the end of the sentence.The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be Look at the dictionary to find what the word means.Read my sentence over so I can know where to put the correct punctuation. Find other sentence opens and use them in my stories.

My goal for Reading  is to finish one chapter book each week. This is important because when I go to college I will have to read bigger  chapter books. It is also important that I read lots because we are reading to learn. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be read more  chapter  books each night read six or seven chapters from a chapter book and read everyday.

My goal for Maths is to finish my basic facts between three or two minutes and to know my 13 and 14 timetables. This is important because I can get a fast time in basic fact test and I can get good results  in the math tests. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be to do math actives online. Do my basic facts homework sheet. Each day learn my timetables.

Keeping some things Private and sharing my learning

We have been learning in cyber smart to create a positive digital footprint.  I know when I have a positive  digital footprint  when I see smiling faces, no silly behaviour , doing things together , and sharing and keeping some things private.

This week I have been learning about Palm Sunday and how Jesus entered Jerusalem. To share our learning every one had to decide if they want to write a post card , make a comic strip or news paper about  Palm Sunday and how Jesus entered Jerusalem.  This is my newspaper.

Happy Saint Pats

Hail glorious Saint Patrick! the whole school sang. It was because Friday March 21 was Saint Patricks Day. Saint Patrick school gathered at church to celebrate a beautiful wonderful day. While

we were singing Father Michael and the altar servers processed towards the altar. As time went we sang , read the bible , and received the bread and wine but know it it time to say the sign of the cross and start a fabulous exstremly greatful Saint Patricks Day!!!!.

Sun Shine Online  is a good really good reading site. It helps people from level 1 to 30 in reading. There are heaps of books. I have been reading I Want to Act it is about a girl named Angie she has a friend named Lisa. Angie likes acting. She is going to New York and is worried about starting a new life at acting school. Lisa is also worried about losing her best friend.

My Class Dojo Reflection

This term I am participating in a class web site called class dojo. It is a site that tracks good things about your learning. It helps you reflect on what your have done this term. What you're good at and what you're bad at it also tracks what you have done out side in the play ground too.You can have fun on class dojo web site because you have your own avatar you can customize.
